Introducing: The MythoSuite

📜 Introducing: The MythoSuite — A Creative Toolbox

Howdy fellow digital travelers,

Today I’m writing to introduce something I’ve been quietly building: the MythoSuite, a family of creative productivity tools for storytellers, world-builders, and visual thinkers. Four different apps for four different yet united purposes: organizing your inspirations.

The core mission statement with each of these projects: Sublime User Experiences.

Here is the one line pitch on each:

MythoMap ~ a rich mind-mapping software designed for creators who think in connections. (Released on Gumroad @ $7)

MythoQuest ~ a simple yet brawny 1-page web app for D&D 5E players, with full DM screen view and custom PC character sheet experiences on two tabs. (Released on Gumroad @ Free!)

MythoCards ~ a digital Tarot drawer and codex on the lore within the cards and their complex literary & psycho-spiritual categories. (Released on Gumroad @ $7)

MythoNote ~ my most ambitious project yet: The Ultimate Digital Commonplace Book, or complex notes app with automated Wiki, Kanban, and Mind Map creation built into its infrastructure, all to divinely maximize your creations as a well-organized secondary brain. (Coming soon…)

All built by one indie developer (me), all local-first, all one-time purchase.

I am making this announcement now on the eve of the completed build process on MythoNote. I plan for an imminent release, so I decided to write this introduction outlining my builds and their pitches.

Trust me when I say this: after using MythoNote, you will never want to use another notes app in your life.

*Quality-of-life* features is the name of my game in making all these softwares, and I have a special passion for quality wordcraft, sublime user-experiences, and the tools of creation — such as documents and databases — all working well all the time.

MythoNote works well.

MythoNote will complete the quartet that now allows me to release them all as a Suite.

Think Michaelsoft Office or the Adope suite, except…much, much better and more fun and creative.

I am selling the builds as one-time purchases because I like it that way. {You are already subscribed to my mind right now.} And none of these apps collect data or require a sign-in. {I cannot afford your data, who do you think I am? Like I’d want it anyway. Keep it to yourself, please.}

I hope you consider my prices fair and my products worthy of good review!

This extended intro post below is a tour through the Mytho-constellation. What each app does. Who they’re for. Why I built them. What’s coming next. By the end, you’ll have a complete picture of the MythoSuite vision.

Pour yourself something warm. Let’s take a walk.

Who am I? An author, aesthete, and someone who understands proper digital design philosophy.

Who is Dylan Orosz?

~ I am a writer, lifelong student of compassion, and explorer in the vivifying art of storytelling.

Aries x Pisces | INFJ | Type 5: Investigator | Human Design: Manifestor.

I grew up in Texas and was raised on literary cartoons. I believe memes are the DNA of the soul and fear is the mind-killer and that we owe awe to beauty. A bonafide quesadilla and churro enthusiast, I am also a friend to all animals and sometimes yearn to be a Waterbender. I am writing novels, designing apps, and do an impassioned blog on all my favorite things: thresholds-of-transformation.blog. Thank you for your consideration!

Artificial Intelligence Disclaimer: No ai is utilized within the features & functionality of the apps. Nor ever in my creative writing. Zero. I like to do my own thinking. I, however, am an amateur coder and utilized Claude’s Opus model as my coding colleague to help me build these apps and create the interlacing JavaScript tools that make their interactive processes go. Love or hate ai, one cannot deny the boy can code. Ai-model-based “vibe coding” effectively allows for an alchemical universal translator relationship to dawn between the man and his codebase-as-canvas. So I have taken advantage of this technology to create some of my dream software. In this way, English has become a coding language in and of itself, so I guess you could say I created these apps in English.

The Core Pitch

The MythoSuite is a family of small, sharp, local-first creative apps. Each handles a specific corner of prospective creative process — mind-mapping, tabletop play, tarot reading, note-taking. Together, they form a complete digital toolbox for writers, world-builders, game designers, esotericists, and anyone whose work runs on imagination.

Some major yet easy commitments from me as dev, across every app:

  • Local-first. Your data lives on your device. No accounts, no servers, no telemetry, no AI in the runtime. {I have zero access to your data as creator and neither does anyone else.}
  • Full Import & Export Functionality: Each app’s data can be moved in and out in a variety of standard formats: (Word, PDF, JSON, Markdown, HTML)
  • Portable Data: Your data is auto-saved in the browser. Multi-format import/export provides the backup.
    • Initial Data Save = in-browser memory {Short-term, risky if you clean your browser}
    • Deep Data Save = Old school: Download your stuff, then re-upload your stuff. Keep to a 3-independent save backup, cycle your saves frequently. {Long-term, Safe, can create backups} ~ {Read: my apps have the added benefit of forcing users to learn to practice a good data management regimen.}
  • Single-user. These are personal tools, not collaborative platforms. Your work belongs to you. {You could always send files back and forth with others, like a letter. Or an electronic-type mail. Sounds lovely.}
  • One-time purchase. No subscriptions. No tier shrinkage. No feature gates.
  • Lifetime updates. When a new version ships, every existing customer gets it. {I maintain the code infrastructure for these sites on Cloudflare and apply myriad cybersecurity measures through their system.}
  • Built by one developer. Me. The same person who hears every email and fixes every bug.
  • My email = dzsoro@gmail.com
  • Hope you share and review your experience with my digital tools!

Here is the detailed breakdown of my Mytho-Apps:

The Four Horses of MythoSuite

🗺️ MythoMap

Mind-mapping story architecture platform for creative minds who think in connections.

I created MythoMap first as a prototype to see if I could make a better mind-mapping software than most of those that I had used. I found them lacking in features and aesthetically displeasing. Especially considering all the things you can do with a good Mind Map.

For the uninitiated, a mind map is simply a flowchart with engines and wings attached.

TEMPLATE: Hero’s Journey

In my conception, MythoMap treats the nodes of the map as their own “cards”, or more rich and customizable and categorizable than your average mind map software.

Ultimately, I hoped to make something I would use to aid outlining my novels. So my goal was always to satisfy myself, and these characters I was about to interconnect within a mystic labyrinthian scenario…

MythoMap has satisfied me, and now carries the skeleton of my latest novel in draft two.

Story Overview Example — Lore — Characters — Locations — Chapters, all on one canvas.
TEMPLATE: Screenplay

MythoMap is a mind-mapping platform purpose-built for storytellers. Here are some keystone examples:

Novelists

Novelists can use it as a visual chapter outline. The default titles for the nodes of the map are based on a Novel’s infrastructure {or a life’s, you know}: Chapter, Character, Location, Plot Thread. // Note: You can also make your own custom nodes, btw. Each with different shapes and colors, for maximal coordination.

{Using a flowchart for your novel’s outline = more useful than you may know}

Screenwriters & Animators

Screenwriters & Animators have a digital storyboard, with full HD image functionality via your own Imgur hosting links.

TEMPLATE: Dual Timeline
Story sequence example – with visual aids from Hunter x Hunter ( 2011anime)

Game designers

~ Full visualization for gameplay loops and logic patterns with enemy a.i.

Musicians

~ Make a sprawling album mood-boards they can continuously update and interconnect.

Tabletop Game Masters

~ Craft out their campaigns and keep track of character relationships.

[Project Planners can plan out their next project.]

Wiki View 1
Wiki View 2
TEMPLATE: Story Bible
Wiki View of Series Bible template

The possibilities are endless. Whatever you can imagine, you can make on MythoMap.

Here are the killer features of this piece of software:

MIND MAP x AUTO-WIKI: Build your world via “mind map” on an infinite canvas. Drop nodes for chapters, characters, locations, plot threads, and custom elements. Connect them logically with color-coded, labeled edges that carry real meaning. Then tap one button and watch your entire map transform into an automatically browsable wiki.

COMPELLING TEMPLATES: Start from scratch or choose from 18 templates: the Hero’s Journey, Three-Act Structure, Save the Cat, D&D Campaign, Game Design Document, Business Model Canvas, Podcast Series, and more. Each template gives you a proven creative framework to build on.

TOTAL CUSTOMIZATION: Every node is a rich card experience — add images, descriptions, tags, and threaded comments. Use Focus mode to highlight what matters. Filter by type, tag, or connection to cut through complexity. Zoom from a galaxy overview of your entire project down to street-level detail on a single scene.

MULTI-SHARE OPTIONS: When you’re ready to share, export your work as a Word document, Scrivener project, PNG canvas image, printable HTML outline, or standalone wiki. Save portable .mindmap files for backup or collaboration.

Your data stays on your device. No account required. No cloud. No tracking. Just you and your story.

Enjoy MythoMap! I am quite proud of it.

Godspeed,
Dylan Orosz

MythoMap is for: World-Builders rejoice! MythoMap is here to satisfy you.

🎲 MythoQuest

A complete digital tool for 5E Dungeons & Dragons — DM screen and character sheet in one page.

DM View — Initiative tracker
Player Hotsheet — skills & saves menu & ACTION HOTBAR

MythoQuest was a challenge to see if I could make a Digital D&D Tool I would use as a DM.

I have many years of experience playing and Dungeon Mastering the game of D&D, cycling with a few core groups of friends from 3.5E to Pathfinder to 4E to 5E and now beyond, into the bold new digital age of practically everyone playing D&D! It is rather wild. But a welcome sight indeed.

With more players, come more fun content and creative tools like this.

MythoQuest is my contribution to the digital character manager — something to keep your stats, spells, abilities, bio, inventory, etc. Rather easy to design, you are just making a template for a character to input their info. But there are million quality of life changes that most character builder sites choose not to include. There is also the whole fact that the rules are in a million places online. D&D Beyond of course rectifies much of this. But it is severely paywalled.

I wanted to make something free, easy to use, and something I’d take for a stroll, as player or DM. 5E is on its way out and that’s a boon to those of us that still play it — because it means it has tons of content, books, monsters, items, campaigns, etc.

From my DM-Brain, the killer app of MythoQuest became — what if all my tools & rules {DM screen reminders + monsters + spells + items + loot generators + dungeon generators + MOAR} were in ONE PLACE. What if I could run my entire campaign out of a single artifact? No Google Docs + Trello + Roll20 + my own big world bible. What if all of THAT could be in one place?

From my Player-Brain, it was all about custom entries on the character sheet. I need to be able to efficiently and satisfactorily track any CUSTOM elements {which is very frequent with homebrew D&D and any good ttrpg campaign — the players and GM make up a lotta stuff!}

The DM tab of MythoQuest looks like this and features all these tabs, filled with everything you’d need to reference and play from there. ~ Initiative | Encounters {Monster Manual!} | Dungeons | NPC Gen 👤 | Notes | Timeline | Rules Reference | Mass Roller | DM Tips & Tricks {Dylan’s Special Sauce}

DM View — Encounter Builder

The Player tab, or “Hotsheet,” of MythoQuest looks like below and is all about efficient access, the Hotbar concept of MMORPGs ~ what are my hotkey spells, abilities, epic maneuvers? The Hotsheet has all the many custom elements you’d want: RESOURCE, SPELL, ITEM, Summons & Companions, and even robust notes and a Level-Up Guide for all 13 classes of Dungeons &Dragons 5th edition.

Front of Character Hotsheet

Truly, 🐉MythoQuest🌀 is a one-stop-shop. That was my purpose, and the goal has been achieved.

MAIN FEATURE RUNDOWN:

⚔️ Initiative Tracker — Add players, allies, and monsters. Track HP, AC, conditions, and death saves in real time. Auto-rolls initiative or enter your own. Add Players to a permanent Party Tracker for easy management and re-adds to initiative order.

🐉 Encounter Builder — Filter the full SRD bestiary by CR, type, and environment. Auto-generate encounters scaled to party size and difficulty. Send monsters with full stats and abilities straight to initiative with one click.

👤 NPC Generator — 30+ randomized fields per NPC: name, race, class, personality, ideals, bonds, flaws, quirks, secrets, fears, motivations, adventure hooks, (even MBTI, Enneagram, and fave Bowie albums, if you want to go that granular; I find it can help make every NPC unique). Save NPCs to a roster for recurring characters. // Note + Fun Fact: I created this robust NPC.rng generator long ago into a Google Sheets doc for my own personal usage. Now it exists here inside this interactive app!

🎲 3D Dice Roller — Fully rendered Three.js dice with physics. Roll any standard die. Mass roller for 2-99 dice at once with modifiers and history.

💰 Loot Generator — Rarity-weighted magic item drops from the SRD. Three hoard sizes. Add your own custom items to the loot pool.

📖 Quick Reference — Abilities, skills, conditions, all 13 classes with features by level, SRD spells filterable by level and class, and direct links to 5eSRD.com for full rules text.

📜 Session Notes — Tag notes by session, search and sort them, export everything. / PC Party View linked to Initiative Tracker.

📅 Campaign Timeline — Track events by day and era. Visual timeline for long-running campaigns.

🛡️ Full Character Sheet — Classes, stats, skills, saves, HP, spells, inventory, attunement slots, feats, background, personality, backstory, and notes. Import characters directly from PDF character sheets.

DM mode and Player mode. Switch between a full GM toolkit and a focused player view. Nine color themes. Mobile-friendly.

No hidden costs. This is the whole app (URL link on downloaded PDF) — free, open, yours. If it makes your table better, throw $5+ my way.

Built for role-players, by a role-player.

The true power of MythoQuest comes in its simplicity and freedom. Enjoy!

Godspeed,
Dylan

Bottom Line: Free. No login. The DM screen and character sheet I always wanted. Tip jar at $5+.

MythoQuest is for: DMs and players running 5E.

🔮 MythoCards

A browser-based Tarot reader that treats the 78 archetypes as a storytelling engine.

MythoCards is a tarot app for open-minded creatives. The full 78-card Rider-Waite-Smith deck, with each card written in three interpretive lenses:

Simple overall design:

🟩Upright ~ the energy

🔻Reversed ~ the energy diverted or blocked

💫”As Story” — a named narrative role that makes the card directly usable for fiction.

Eight Story Spreads with labeled dramatic positions (Hero’s Journey, Three-Act Structure, Seven-Fold Soul, Four Elements). Plus a Codex with an interactive Tree of Life, Sephiroth correspondences, elemental dignity rules, and astrological mappings.

The website is meant as a beginner educational resource, but with a depth that could turn it in as a permanent reference for practitioners.

I personally use the Tarot to help me stage my stories, with character personas and plot element beats that match the journey of The Fool through the 21 other Major Arcana. The deck can be a wonderful divination tool, to help you harness your better creative instincts. My deck of Tarot and Oracle cards have helped to inspire my novels and stories. So I am thankful to the deck and this website is my way of honoring that creative bond.

I have also been reading books about the Tarot recently and wanted to try to better solidify my practice and understanding of the cards for future reference.

MythoCards is a shadow wing of the Invisible College, my open-source educational project on esoteric traditions. Kabbalah and Tarot are foundational aspects of that education, and worthy of learning about for anyone I would say. Thus, I wanted to make an interactive educational experience related to these threads and traditions, co-pairing my love of learning with my innate desire to one build a museum.

I.C. represents my intrigue into all schools of thought. My education is ongoing and so are my notebooks, so I wanted to make websites to share my learnings in a fun and interactive way.

For MythoCards, every card and Codex entry delivers the same register as the rest of the College: precise, literary, built for serious readers. If invisiblecollege.live resonates, this app will feel like home.

Bottom Line: The tarot, put to work for writers. Eight Story Spreads. Full Codex. $7.

MythoCards is for: Writers, screenwriters, worldbuilders, tabletop GMs, esoteric practitioners.

📓 MythoNote — the Flagship🚢

The ultimate digital commonplace book. My personal dream notebook app manifested into being.

MythoNote is the deepest app in the suite and the natural home for everything the others generate.

A commonplace book — the centuries-old practice of keeping a personal journal of quotes, observations, and ideas worth remembering — rebuilt as a modern app with maximal functionality.

Local-first, single-user, no telemetry, no AI. Part of my core philosophy has become — this has to be something that I would utilize frequently, that I would find useful, that I could see myself building in order for it to exist.

Think about it: What is your wishlist for your principal software relationship? Everyone has one, depending on your profession or chosen hobby. As a writer, it is note-taking apps and document editors; I am longtime Google Doc Master, Google Keep as reminder, and an Evernote OG. I reckon everyone has their own dreams about how their most used/least favorite software should work. MythoNote is my answer to how should a note app work.

Book of Notes = Kanban Board
Using the app to further prototype its own features. MythoNote wanted to be created, who was I to get in the way?
Mind Map view: Templates Book ~ 23 pre-loaded templates to kickstart your storytelling {Project Map, Character Profile, Tarot Draw, Hero’s Journey, }

Here is the walkthrough of the design & interface:

The Greatest Right-Click Actions Ever Devised In Word Processing History

Supreme writing interface for desktop and pure note-taking functionality on mobile. Here is the hotbar for in-text right-click:

🔙 Go Back {go back to last Note > useful for [[interlink]] exploration}

↩️Undo {classic}

🕵🏻‍♂️Find in Note {discrete search inside just this note}

📲 Replace in Note {find & replace}

B I Strike <code> {basic font choices}

🔗 Insert Link {embed URL, opens in new tab}

🖇️ Insert Interlink {in-structure [[interlinking]] between Notes}

📖 Look up synonyms {your floating Thesaurus! If you are that type of writer. Definitions too}

📌Send selection to Tack {send highlighted text to Tackboard note overlay, useful for reminders}

🌐Look Up “highlighted text” {searches the text on Wikipedia in new tab!! Yes! How exciting?}

Simple Infrastructure > Powerful Interconnections

Simple total infrastructure of Notes < Books < Library.

Notes = Writing Artifacts

Books = Containers for Notes

Library – Sum of Books

All Notes can be [[interlinked]] to travel to any other, use tags to isolate Notes between Books, create bookmarks for further quick organization.

Deep Viewpoint Architecture: Wiki x Kanban x Mind Map

Deeper views into a natural Wiki organization with {Categories, choose as many as you like} and a Kanban with {Status, Planning > Doing > Done} and a full Mind Map showcase of all the Notes within a Book, shaped, colored, and interconnecting how you will. All in desktop browser, program download, and mobile formats with full adaptive functionality however you use MythoNote.

Wiki view of characters in D&D campaign

For me, MythoNote has three killer features ~

The true Killer Feature #1: Four Interchangeable Views

  • Note view — a fast Tiptap-based markdown editor with slash menu, KaTeX math, inline images, hashtag tags, and [[interlinks]] between notes
  • Wiki view — Notes regrouped by Category into colored buckets, reading like an encyclopedia of your own thinking
  • Kanban view — Notes regrouped by Status into pipeline columns, drag-between-columns to update flow
  • Mind Map view — Notes as draggable nodes on a freeform canvas with directional labeled arrows, shapes, and colors

A character profile lives in your Characters Wiki bucket, your Active Kanban column, the People cluster of your Mind Map, and the editor surface of the Note view simultaneously. One Note, four vital lenses. Use them how you will to maximize your next creation.

Ultimately, I created MythoNote to be a Mental Organizer’s UX Haven. Every possible desire serviced.

NOTE VIEW:

NOTE VIEW — D&D Character profile

WIKI VIEW:

WIKI VIEW — D&D world-building.

KANBAN VIEW:

KANBAN VIEW — Key events of the campaign — Active > Background > Resolved

MIND MAP VIEW:

MIND MAP VIEW — the myriad interconnections of the world of Lor.

Killer Feature #2: Pure Search & Google Keep Clone

MythoNote features two core buttons in the top left corner of the interface “Search All” & “Tackboard” — the first laser-targets your search across the entire library, all results visible for your view and the second is a a global Google-Keep-style canvas for fast captures, separate from the Book/Note structure but able to easily communicate.

Tackboard View ~ ala Google Keep ~ a quick note taker and discarder // Here it is being used as a suite of Headlines for our D&D Campaign.

I created an App-within-an-App — call it App-ception!

Killer Feature #3: Built-in Pomodoro Timer

Pomodoro timer (25min. + 5min. break) with a protected Timelog Book that records your focus history per project.

For the writerly warriors that like to keep their time and need the 25min. chunks {like I do} in order to stay focused and — know there is an end to the work, and a fresh break coming.

Enjoy a daily prompt with over 700 creative or esoteric thoughts to ponder.

Multi-format Import / Export Library > Books > Notes, together or individually. {Markdown, JSON, HTML, PDF, Word.}

Ultimately, MythoNote is meant to serve as a home base for your writings, thoughts, and furthest imaginings, organized exactly how you wish to. A digital commonplace book, and beyond.

Note Action Menu
Export Options: PDF, DOCX, JSON, HTML // To backup, save your library as a JSON — this will slot back into the MythoNote infrastructure the best.

Caption: What is a commonplace book again? A personal journal of passages, observations, and ideas worth remembering. Commonplace Bookers of history: Aurelius, Locke, Emerson, Woolf, Van Helsing.

As a user & developer, my take is that most modern note-taking apps optimize for capture, not retrieval. They surface what’s recent and not laser-targeted searches that are actually accurate. They are always a challenge to organize. They are excellent at the first month of your library and useless at the tenth year. MythoNote is built for the eleventh year. The four-view system, the local-first storage, the markdown source-of-truth, the no-AI commitment — every architectural decision was made with user-experience in mind. And inside my mind as a writer who is taking notes ALL THE TIME.

What tool do I need to maximize my ability to take notes?

Example of Daily Prompt ~ loads in every day from 700+ ideas, esoteric concepts, story situations.

MythoNote, again, is the answer.

Bottom Line(s): Notes < Books < Library: Editor✍️ x Wiki Org 📖 x Kanban Board 📋 x Mind Map 🧠 | #Tags + Bookmarks + Graveyard {soft delete} + Full Data Import/Export

MythoNote is for: Writers building character profiles, world bibles, plot outlines, dream logs. TTRPG GMs running campaigns with NPC databases. Researchers, students, esotericists, indie devs, anyone keeping a long-running personal knowledge base.

Mind Map of enemy and ally factions.
Data Visualization of all Notes > Books >> interlinks between ~ it looks like an Elder Brain!
Wiki View of all characters in the campaign, organized by friend/foe and locale.
Library Stats — BIG numbers. ~ tracking total notes, words, pomodoros (half-hour of work), Connections {interlinks, Mind Map, #tags}

Launch Date: May 2026
